West Berkshire’s Emotional Health Academy is looking for a Primary Mental Health Worker to join the team on a fixed term, 1 year contract. This role is to provide CBT based, needs led and goal focused support to vulnerable young people within the county. The aim, by supporting young people and families, is to strengthen resilience and coping skills enabling them to improve their wellbeing, attainment and life chances, and so reducing the pressure on specialist CAMHs and medical services.
A Masters level qualification or equivalent experience and post graduate training in a relevant mental health, therapeutic and accredited area is essential for the role.

This role requires the incumbent to have a car available at work to undertake his/her duties as they will be expected to undertake at least 1500 business miles per year. Essential Car User status attracts a lump sum allowance paid on a monthly basis as well as a free car parking space if he/she works at one of the Council’s corporate buildings.
