Housing Support Co-ordinator (Lightbulb Service Model Programme) (M338)

Temporary until 31 March 2022 (with possible extension to March 2024 pending outcome of current review)

Full time post (37 hours).

Lightbulb Service Model is a partnership Programme supported by the seven District Councils in Leicestershire and Leicestershire County Council.  It brings together a range of practical housing support into a single point of access or referral.  The overall ambition is to maximise the contribution that housing support can play in keeping vulnerable people independent in their homes.

The Housing Support Coordinator (HSC) role works with individuals in need to identify and access a range of housing support solutions that will enable them to remain independent and healthy in their home.

You will work closely with specialists within the Lightbulb Service Model team (including Occupational Therapists, Technical Officers and other HSCs); facilitating a holistic approach to housing support and supporting their work by offering individuals access to a wider range of housing support services.

You will have a wide range of experience in working with vulnerable adults and experience of working with key stakeholders and partners to get the best outcome for service users.

You will have experience of working in a housing, health or social care setting (this could include experience in the voluntary sector with this focus).

Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload and to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.

You must have completed, or be willing to complete formal Trusted Assessor Training.

You will work in a hybrid way based in the Council offices and home working and will be expected to travel across the Borough for visits, and out of Borough for meetings and training.

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
