These are just some of the types of projects that are under way across the council – your role will be to support the work of our change programme with baseline analysis, requirements elicitation, process mapping, application of Lean6Sigma to processes, root cause analysis and quantifying process savings. Our Change Business Analysts need to be highly motivated and able to work well with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. Experience working within a social care context would be desirable for one of the two roles advertised.

What it’s like working in our team…

The Business Change programme is a continuous programme of work aimed at enhancing service delivery to customers and improving outcomes whilst identifying and delivering significant savings. 

This role will give the opportunity to work closely with Project Sponsors and our Business Change Project Managers and Business Partners in order to support the effective and efficient delivery of Business Change projects.

You will be supported throughout your role and will be encouraged to undertake any relevant training and development. 

You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training…

The Business Analysts will support Project Sponsors and Project Managers with the effective and efficient delivery of Business Change projects through – 

  • providing insightful data analysis and robust process optimisation, taking a customer centric approach to analyse complex business problems and work with stakeholders to determine what changes are required to meet business needs, with the use of varied industry tools, techniques and data to work through options. 
  • actively identify and develop process optimisation opportunities and functional requirements to promote continuous improvement either through new projects or change in business process, seeking opportunity, and owning the delivery of them either through subject matter experts or directly.
