Salary: Grade 9 £29,577 to £32,234 per annum / Grade 10 £32,910 to £35,745 per annum
Working Pattern: Full time-time (37 hours per week)
Contract Length: Permanent
Interview Date: TBC (Interviews may take place via MS Teams or face to face following COVID secure guidelines)
In these exciting opportunities, you will provide an accountable statutory social work service to those people who access or need the service to include assessment, planning, reviewing and safeguarding enquiries. You will act with integrity, professionalism and respect on behalf of the organisation always, ensuring that the needs of individuals are paramount. You will work collaboratively with individuals and family or friend carers to identify people's strengths, networks and community assets.
Experience and Skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret people related information and data in order to prioritise needs and formulate plans for intervention and service provision.
- Ability to work proactively as a member of the team to make an accurate assessment of needs and negotiate and implement effective plans and outcomes.
- Ability to work in partnership with carers, colleagues and a variety of external agencies in order to deliver the most effective service.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral format including the ability to explain complicated information to a wide range of people and negotiate and persuade others to adopt a courseof action.
- Ability to recognise the limits of own accountability and responsibility, and to seek appropriate support, advice and supervision.
- Sound and accurate ICT and keyboard skills.
Qualification and / or Experience:
- A Degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification e.g. Certificate of Qualification in Social Work or Diploma in Social Work.
- Appropriately registered with Social Work England and responsible for maintaining registration.
- Good, up-to-date working knowledge of legislations relevant to the specialist area of the post e.g. Care Act, Mental Capacity Act etc.
- Expectation to work towards and undertake post qualifying training in one or more specialised roles, i.e. AMHP, BIA and/or Practice Educator as part of continuous professional development.
- Requirement for BIA qualified practitioners to contribute to BIA service delivery, AMHP qualified practitioners to contribute to AMHP service delivery.
- Evidence of good assessment skills, including the ability to ensure regular reviews and risk management with a variety of individuals, carers or families.
- Experience of working in partnership with those who access or need the service and maintaining a focus on the needs and strengths of the individual, and the outcomes they want to achieve, whilst handling conflict and disagreement.
- Experience of forming effective working relationships within a multi-agency/multidisciplinary setting.
- Evidence of working with those who access or need the service to identify issues and identify specific action by means of creative and pragmatic solutions.
- Experience of managing levels of risk within a caseload
