Thank you for your interest in the above post. The post is for a Teaching Assistant to work at the ASC facility based at West Blatchington Primary School (the staff are employed by Hill Park School). The ASC unit is a Primary facility and the role could be in KS1 or KS2. This role is for 5 days per week and the hours are 8.30 to 3.20. 

 

About the role

We are seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team working with pupils with ASC and additional complex needs. The role is supporting pupils with ASC in the facility and within mainstream classes during inclusion sessions.

The essential skills for the role are:

  • Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum and/or Early Years curriculum.
  • Experience of working with pupils with ASC and/or SEN.
  • Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
