Business Improvement and Intelligence Advisor – Children’s Social Care

 

Barnsley Council’s Core Business Improvement and Intelligence (BII) Team is looking to recruit a Business Improvement and Intelligence Advisor to support the exciting and challenging work that takes place in our Children’s Social Care teams.

 

The BII Team has made great strides in bringing data into a BI warehouse and providing first class and innovative solutions for our customers, utilising Power BI and other cutting edge BI tools.  Some of our work has won national awards and recognition.  It is an exciting time to join our team to move forward in improving our BI offer to our customers – ranging from all services in the council to working closely with partner organisations.

 

In this role you will need to have an excellent analytical mind and be able to lead in the development of innovative solutions to present data back as information and intelligence to a wide-ranging audience.  You will also support on the development of strategic documents and needs assessments and develop new ways in getting key messages out to those who need them.  You will also be driving forward improvements across our organisation, whilst always putting the customer first.

 

Some of the skills you may possess could include:

·         Excellent analytical skills;

·         Experience in performance measurement and challenge;

·         Experience in developing or contributing to strategic documents;

·         Able to work with the all levels of an organisation;

·         Able to put the customer needs first in all areas.

 

You will need a relevant level 6 qualification or equivalent to apply for this role.

 

A Remote / Digital interview will take place in late Jan/early Feb with a start date as soon as possible after that.  Further details will be shared if your application is successful.

 

Currently it is our policy to work from home/remotely wherever possible, but you may on occasion need to visit the office within Barnsley town centre.

Restructure
