The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Sports and Physical Activity Service as an Active Living Officer. In this role you will work with a range of stakeholders including health professionals, community partners, providers of specialist and universal physical activity & sport to increase participation.

The post holder will design and deliver projects for residents with long term medical conditions and disabilities. The work undertaken in this role will aim to develop sport and physical activity for inactive and at-risk populations within the borough, breaking down barriers to aid active, healthy living.

 

About You 

You will hold a degree level qualification or equivalent work experience in public health, health, health promotion or health project management. 

We are looking for a creative individual with the ability to make decisions under pressure. You will have a proven track record of working in health behaviour change, with the ability to analyse and collect data to improve health outcomes.

You will have experience working with barriered communities, vulnerable individuals, and groups with disabilities. You will understand the need and barriers to participation, including equality issues.
