  • Giving advice to colleagues and customers about legislative requirements and standards for protection and safety, liaising regularly with corporate health and safety colleagues
  • Liaising with colleagues and contractors to arrange action to ensure library premises are maintained in good condition and are compliant with legislation and relevant standards
  • Working collaboratively with internal and external partners on joint projects; engaging with local and national initiatives and considering how they can be implemented locally.
  • Taking a lead role in delivering identified workstreams relating to the implementation of the new 10 year Library Strategy

We are looking for someone with:

  • The ability to analyse areas of work and make decisions to improve them
  • Experience of working with partners and collaborative working
  • The ability to work to agreed deadlines
  • The ability to solve problem and develop solutions

The salary scale is career grade JM1 / JM2 £32,234  - £35,745.  Appointment is made at the bottom of JM1 scale and progression to the higher grade can be requested annually.  Progression is dependent upon attainment of a relevant qualification and / or revalidation of an existing qualification and assessment of desired skills and competences.
