An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our in-house Housing Adaptation Service for a one year maternity cover contract

This is a full time position but consideration will be given to part time working. 
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our in house Housing Adaptation Team based in Housing Services. You will provide assessments and specifications for disabled adults referred mainly by Adult Social Care in order to provide home adaptations to meet the client's identified needs. You will occasionally advise Housing Needs on the suitability of properties for customers with medical needs awaiting re-housing. 
You will visit customers in their own homes, sometimes independently and frequently with the Grants Officer and the Team Surveyor. 
 
You will be a keen team player as the process to successfully complete a major adaptation is shared amongst the team. You will have energy, enthusiasm and an understanding of the legislation related to Housing Grants and Adult Social Care. Experience in a physical setting and an understanding of housing adaptations would be an advantage. In return we can provide opportunities to progress your career and the following benefits:-
