£39,880 to £41,881 per annum
37 hours per week (part time/flexible working considered)
Our Property, Estates and Facilities team are looking for a Senior Surveyor to join them in managing and advising on the Councils operational and investments land and property portfolio and landlord / tenant matters. Senior Surveyors at Arun provide expert professional advice over a broad range of areas including lease negotiation, rent reviews, disposals and acquisition, property management, planned maintenance, construction procurement, contract management and statutory compliance of assets.
Our ideal Senior Surveyor has demonstrable experience of working within a multi-disciplined practice, which may be in the public sector, but this is not essential. Organisation and communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to adapt and be flexible in your approach whilst influencing and negotiating.
The post is based at the Civic Centre, Littlehampton, close to one of our award winning beaches (perfect for a lunchtime stroll), and will involve site visits throughout the district to Council estate and premises. Due to the covid-19 pandemic the majority of employees currently work from home, including the Property Estates and Facilities team. In the future we envisage that homeworking, for at least part of the week, will continue to be an option for those who enjoy it, although this may be subject to change and the base for these roles will still be the Civic Centre, Littlehampton.
Our top benefits include free gym membership at our local leisure centres including the new Littlehampton Wave, flexible working, excellent contributory pension scheme and generous annual leave. Further information and a full list of employee benefits can be found on the Arun District Council job page.
If you would like to talk to someone about the Senior Surveyor role, our anticipated homeworking arrangements, or flexible working in this role, please contact Paul Broggi on 01903 737506.
Arun has a commitment to equality of opportunity in employment. If you have a disability which makes it difficult to complete our application form, please contact the Human Resources Department, who will assist you with your application.
