Halton Day Services provide a range of support for adults with a range of complex needs including Learning Disabilities, Physical and Sensory Disabilities and Dementia. Sited across many different venues and businesses within Halton, people have the opportunity to work in a variety of active businesses including Dementia services, catering outlets, a brewery, a hair salon, animal husbandry (agricultural small holding) shop mobility ,Retail and Horticultural services.
These particular posts are specifically for the business area of Horticulture,Retail,Dementia and General Day service officer supporting group activities within the community venues. We are looking for an experienced individual who can advance the business areas ,whilst continuing to maintain a high standard service to those who attend. We will provide the training in the field of social care, enabling you to actively support people with disabilities to market our businesses and promote our services.
We are recruiting for:
1 x Horticulture Day Services Officer- 27.75 hours
1 x Retail Day Services Officer- 37 hours
1 x Dementia Day Services Officer- 22.5 hours
2 x General Day Services Officer- 37 hours

The role of the Day Service Officer is a dual role that not only takes responsibility for overseeing the day to day running of individual businesses but also provides front line supervision and support to individuals accessing the service and staff members supporting those individuals.
We will expect you to lead a group in contributing to improve and develop our businesses to a highly effective and prosperous level.
You will need to be flexible enough to work across a number of business venues within Halton and to support people to take part in a variety of meaningful activities that promote employment, inclusion and offers opportunities to the people we support to promote independence and skill development. Experience is not essential your value base is, as training will be provided in the key areas of care support. If successful you will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS.

Your skills, experience and confidence will be sufficient to take responsibility for managing the day to day running of individual business areas. You will also fully appreciate the value you can bring to people’s lives by sharing your expertise and supporting people to work within your business areas. You will be committed to making activities accessible and meaningful for people with Learning Disabilities and other complex needs.
If you do not possess a Care certificate you will be supported to work towards obtaining this qualification. Training will be provided to enable you to support adults with learning disabilities to engage in meaningful activities.
You will meet the essential criteria as outlined on the person specification for the specific business area.
