In these roles, you will provide essential front line support to officers and managers within the Housing division, liaising with the public and keys agencies. You will manage and maintain databases, providing essential data and reports to support the performance management of the division.
Both posts are situated within the Housing Division and are full-time, fixed-term positions for a period of 12 months.
One of the posts is within the Housing Investment Team, where you will provide essential support for officers who carry out a range of key functions including completion of Government statistical returns, assisting in research, producing reports and mapping of data to establish housing needs, housing market change, responding to the green homes agenda and enabling the provision of new affordable homes in borough which supports the Local Plan ambitions and targets.
The second post is situated within the Housing Standards Team, where you will support officers in improving housing within the Wirral including assisting and processing of mandatory HMO and Selective Licences. In addition, the role involves supporting the delivery of financial assistance products to improve housing and bringing back into use long term empty properties.
In both posts we are looking for candidates who have excellent communication, organisation and IT skills and can work independently using a range of computer software packages including MS Office and MS Teams. Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems would be also be beneficial.
You should have customer focused experience as well as interacting with the public face to face and over the telephone.
Interviews are anticipated to be held on 31st January 2022.
This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home. In future, the Council will be moving to a hybrid of working arrangements for many of our roles with a combination of homeworking, office and site working as required.
