We are seeking to recruit an exceptional individual with a passion for and experience of providing specialist dementia care, to join our Admiral Nurse Service as the Band 7 Admiral Nurse Clinical Lead. This is a well-established service which provides specialist dementia support for families and carers across Rutland, with a drive to develop the service further beyond its already high performing achievements.
Employed by Rutland County Council you will be supported by strategic leaders to deliver an innovative and evolving service, which the residents of Rutland already hold in high esteem. Further support will be given by Dementia UK to maintain and strengthen your clinical expertise as a specialist nurse through monthly clinical supervision and professional development. You will become part of the network of Admiral Nurses and will have the opportunity to access relevant post graduate courses and develop professionally, informed by the Admiral Nurse Competency Framework.
The successful applicant will be NMC registered with significant post registration experience of working with people with Dementia and their carers in different settings including community. Applicants should have formal knowledge of Dementia acquired through clinical post graduate training and education.
You will have previous experience of leading a team alongside the ability to innovate and continue to develop the existing service. Applicants should have a good understanding of national policies and best practice relating to dementia care, together with the skills and experience to embed these into local working practices.
