If you would like to become part of our Corporate Parenting Team which supports children and young people who are in our care, please read on.  We are looking for passionate, child centred and resilient Team Manager who is a qualified social worker with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our management team.  Our aim is to support children and young people to ensure they are safe, happy, healthy, heard and achieving.  We want the same for our workforce; for those who come to Sefton to invest in our communities so that we can #makeadifference with support from partners, families, and carers to achieve the best possible outcomes.

We want to attract a Team Manager who is strengths based, can offer high support and high challenge. Successful candidates will have high aspirations for children and young people and their team; a flexible approach and the drive to support innovation and change.   We are on an improvement journey and are committed to achieving manageable caseloads and providing good quality supervision and support to our Team Managers and Social Workers. 

If successful, you will have management responsibility for a team of social workers who you will be expected to provide robust supervision in line with Sefton’s supervision policy. Applicants should have proven management experience or be able to demonstrate their readiness for the step up to a management position. Please note that in order to apply for this post you must be qualified and registered as a Social Worker with SWE and have post qualifying experience in safeguarding children.
