Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the City.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new Careers Hub with an established Enterprise Adviser Network in east London.

We are recruiting for Careers Hub Enterprise Co-ordinators to join our existing team, working with schools and colleges in our Careers Hub EAST. The successful candidates will need demonstrable experience of engaging and building relationships with leaders from schools, colleges and businesses, and experience of leading the delivery of programmes or projects with multiple stakeholders. Able to build relationships at all levels, both internally and with a range of external stakeholders to develop a collaborative network and shared objectives and a strong understanding of school culture, current careers education policy and corporate social responsibility.

Due to Government Covid guidelines, staff are currently working from home and holding virtual meetings. When restrictions are lifted, the role requires a hybrid working pattern of regular travel to schools and colleges in our boroughs combined with some home working, office working, and external meetings.

Through joining a Careers Hub, we enable schools and colleges to receive professional guidance in how to develop their careers programme, peer to peer support and learning in what works, access to funding and coordinated activity.  The Hubs are incubators for innovation, taking our national mantra of test, learn and adapt and applying that locally.

In east London, the Careers Hub and LEAN is delivered by the Local London sub-regional partnership. Local London established the LEAN EAST network in 2019, and it now has over 185 school, college and PRU members and over 180 employer volunteers. Careers Hub EAST operates across the eight Local London boroughs in NE and SE London: Enfield, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Newham, Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Greenwich, Bexley, and the London Borough of Bromley. Each Enterprise Co-ordinator works across 1 or 2 boroughs.

The accountable body for the Local London sub-regional partnership is Redbridge Council, and Careers Hub EAST staff are employees of Redbridge Council under their terms and conditions of employment.
