The vision for Barnsley Council is making Barnsley the place of possibilities. We are a Council with ambition, flair and imagination with a real drive and focus on continuous improvement. Our vision is working together for a brighter future, a better Barnsley. At its heart is a commitment to concentrate on providing services where they are most needed, where they will have the most impact and to help people do more for each other and their community. Our travel assistance service is a vital service for over 800 children and adults in the borough and now is a great time to be joining our forward thinking and dynamic service.
We are looking to recruit a Driver Attendant Team leader to join our busy expanding team. You will be responsible for the day to day organisation of the Council’s fleet vehicles. You will also be responsible for the supervision of, and providing support to, the attendant drivers alongside your own driving duties. Your working hours will be approximately 6 hours per day during school term time.
You will need to enjoy driving, be organised, have empathy and patience with children and adults who have special needs and possess a polite professional manner. If you have these qualities, we would love to hear from you.
The proposed interview dates are w/c 24/01/2022
