The Economy Team is recruiting for an Economic Development Officer. It is an exciting opportunity to become part of our expanding and dynamic team at a pivotal time in economic recovery.

 

The team has a broad range of responsibilities including business investment, sector development, employment and skills, and community learning. You will get the opportunity to work in a diverse and collaborative team to deliver valuable outcomes across North Somerset. This post-holder will work on a number of diverse activities within the Economy Team, prioritising inward investment business opportunities and economic growth in the region. They will need strong account management, project management experience; IT skills and experience of the planning process is desirable.

 

Organisation Context:

The council have an ambitious plan to support inclusive growth across North Somerset based on our vision to create an open, fairer, greener North Somerset. Through the Economic Plan we seek to address the social and economic impacts of the Covid-19 on our businesses and residents. North Somerset is unique in that it is has some of the wealthiest and most deprived areas in the country and this divide has been exacerbated by the pandemic.
