£16,743 per annum which will be calculated pro-rata according to the hours you select to work. (£8.91 per hour)
We have a variety of part time hours available, which include evening and weekend shifts.
You will be working for South West Extra Care Service at either Dray Court Guildford, Riverside & Falkner Court Farnham, Japonica Court, Ash.

About the Role
‘Jack is an elderly person, who has recently suffered from a broken arm after a fall at his house, and as a result he needs extra support within his home. Jack needs support in completing his daily routine such as washing, clothing and taking medication, which he is unable to do by himself.'

The aim of Extra Care Housing is to provide a safe, secure environment with 24-hour personal care, support on site, to maximise the independence of frail and vulnerable individuals. Such individuals may not be able to take care of themselves without assistance, and need your help to do so.
Joining us as a Community Care Assistant, you’ll be doing something that really matters.
You’ll have the responsibility for individual, sensitive needs of those who require support. It will be your job to provide assistance with all daily living tasks, including personal care, medication and mobility. You’ll also ensure dignity, choice and control is maintained for those who feel like they have lost it from their lives. They’ll look to you for support and guidance, a helping hand, and most importantly; allowing them to continue with their lives.
In addition to having a real passion to help others, we would also expect you to be;
- A natural communicator
- Able to deal with sensitive & difficult situations
- Flexible to work ad hoc shifts, days, evenings and weekends
You will either hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification. In return, you’ll find that our support doesn’t stop with people who use our service.
