We put people first and focus on what people with a disability can do as opposed to what they cannot do. Supporting people in diverse ways is one of the reasons why Halton Community Services has won national awards.

We are looking to recruit support workers who can provide the appropriate physical, emotional and intellectual support to the people predominantly in the catering area of our service, to enable them to fulfil their aspirations.

We will provide the training in the field of social care to enable you to actively support people with disabilities to operate our businesses and services.

Our expanding businesses include: Cafes and Hospitality, Ice Cream production, Brewery, Market garden produce, Dementia Day Service, Hairdressing and Beauty Salon, Art & Crafts, Animal Husbandry unit, Shopmobility.

You will need to be flexible enough to work across a number of business venues within Halton and to support people to take part in a variety of meaningful activities that promote employment, inclusion and offers opportunities to promote independence and skill development.  You will be an effective communicator and be able to produce written records to a good standard.

Experience is not essential for this post, but your value base is. Training will be provided in the key areas of care support.

Interviews will be held on w/c 7th February 2022.

Please use the statement below in adverts for care home vacancies and for adult social workers.

From April 2022, The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities)(Amendment)(Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 require registered persons of all Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered care homes (which provide accommodation together with nursing or personal care) to ensure that a person does not enter the indoor premises unless they have been vaccinated against COVID-19. You will not be eligible for employment or continued employment in such a setting if you are unable to evidence to your employer/prospective employer that you have either been vaccinated with the complete course of doses of an authorised vaccine (including booster doses); or that for clinical reasons you are medically exempt from vaccination.
