An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Housing Options team for a self-motivated Housing Options Assistant with experience of working in a busy office environment to provide an administrative support service to members of the team. This is a challenging role, dealing with enquiries from members of the public, professionals and other officers and requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, and attention to detail.
The post holder will be responsible for regularly monitoring applications for housing and updating our systems, making appointment, receiving and verifying documents and the collation of performance data
Undertake a range of specialist tasks including:
Ensure that telephone calls and emails or other correspondences are responded to promptly and effectively, and all details of customer contacts are uploaded onto the system.
Provide an administrative support service to all members of the wider housing options teams and deal with initial enquiries from customers, professionals and other stakeholders.
Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the achievement of corporate performance objectives.
4 GCSEs at grade C or above to include mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications.
Experience of dealing with members of the public whilst working in a busy office environment.
Experience of IT software packages including word and excel, and general administrative duties.
Housing, Business Administration or Customer Services qualification or training.
Experience of working with a local authority or other housing related service.
