The Post
 
The role of Strategic Partnerships Learning and Development Officer is critical to the delivery of our safeguarding duties, ensuring effective, multi-agency learning and development for the Safeguarding Adults Board and the Safeguarding Children Partnership. The post involves significant partnership engagement, working to identify and agree areas of safeguarding practice requiring learning and development. The role is responsible for designing and delivering a multi-agency learning and development programme, including evaluating and adapting the programme as required. The implementation of the programme will include delivering multi agency safeguarding awareness sessions and commissioning experts who will address complex learning needs. The successful person will have good IT skills and be willing to learn how to use the learning and development platform used to advertise and manage learning and development programmes in Brent.
 
The Person
 
You will have a keen interest in and understanding of safeguarding adults and children. You will have the skills to deliver safeguarding awareness courses to a multi agency audience, as well as skills and experience of commissioning bespoke, specialist learning and development packages. You will understand how to ensure high quality training, and will be able to demonstrate the outcomes of the multi-agency learning and development programme. You will have the IT skills to manage our learning and development website. You will understand the complexities of partnership working and have excellent relationship building skills, be able to work without close supervision and display a willingness to learn and show initiative.
