Priory School is a very successful secondary school with an excellent local reputation.

The Governors seek to appoint a Pastoral Assistant to work full-time or on a part-time basis, (term time, 40 weeks a year) to support students, parents and staff with pastoral issues and the associated administrative duties. 

The role will involve administering First Aid support as appropriate to the pupils of the school and, where necessary, the staff.   It is desirable that applicants hold a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work or equivalent and training will be provided to applicants who do not hold this qualification.  You will work closely with our House Heads and will be based in the school’s Pastoral Office alongside the Attendance Officer.

The full-time hours are 37 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 8.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m. and 8.00am -3.30 p.m. on Fridays.   The salary grade is Single Status, Grade 3, Scale point 7, £18,562.  The actual yearly salary for working 37 hours a week is £16,374.

If you are applying to work part-time (term-time) the hours of work are 20 hours a week and can be worked Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday.  It is essential you have the flexibility to cover additional days if required.  The actual yearly salary for 20 hours a week is £8,851.
