Job Duties:

The Public Health team is still very busy responding to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as dealing with business as usual. We are looking to recruit two, highly motivated Senior Support Officers to join our friendly and busy Business Support team.

You will be the first point of contact for general enquiries and provide administrative support across the Public Health Department on a wide and complex range of tasks including:

  • Finance – raising of PO’s/Invoices/credit notes/vendor set-ups
  • Managing membership of staff area of Intranet pages
  • Meeting support
  • SmartSurvey
  • Eventbrite
  • Event support
  • Supporting less experienced team members

The work is fast-paced, and demand can be unpredictable so you will need to be highly motivated, enjoy being busy, and have a flexible and adaptable approach to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard. 

You will have demonstrable business support experience (or transferrable skills), a professional manner, and the ability to deal with a wide variety of people at all levels.

You will be confident to take on a broad variety of tasks, sometimes at short notice, and be comfortable that the work doesn’t always follow a regular routine.  This will mean prioritising your workload, managing tight deadlines and using your initiative when appropriate.

You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office including Teams, Word, Excel and Outlook and able to pick up other systems such as Eventbrite quickly.

Interviews will be taking place as soon as possible and will involve a pre-interview skills test.
