About the role
RESOURCE OFFICER Adult Social Care – AMHP and EDS Service.
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for Resource Officer’s to join a dedicated team providing the East Sussex county wide triaging of Mental Health Act referrals.
You will be well organised, ready for a challenge, have excellent communication and risk assessment skills and be able to deal with competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
A good understanding of The Mental Health Act, alongside The Care Act and Mental Capacity Act is important as this will underpin and frame your role. A significant focus of the role is on collating the information required to undertake a Mental Health Act assessment and supporting the Approved Mental Health Professionals who undertake the assessments.
The role will encompass both supporting others in the community and some office-based working. There is an opportunity for flexible working including out of hours and weekends.
A good understanding of mental health conditions, impact and the services that provide associated support is also essential.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
