Job Duties:

An exciting opportunity has been identified for an experienced Project Officer to work on the COVID Higher and Further Education workstream within Public Health.  This role is initially till March 2022 with a possibility for extension.

The purpose of this programme is to work collaboratively with colleges and Universities within Hertfordshire who have residential facilities and build the work already done by these Institutions in Hertfordshire, supporting them in:

  1. Developing COVID-19 secure arrangements
  2. Identifying work they need to do to protect their staff and students from COVID- 19 whilst operating an educational establishment
  3. Preventing outbreaks where possible
  4. Reducing the spread within the student community.

This role will support, monitor and manage the progress of the project with the project manager.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

This is a unique role that will suit a self-starter who will thrive on taking ownership and responsibility by supporting the Project manager and IPC Senior Advisor on the IPC management for this setting as we continue to manage the impact of COVID-19.

Essential qualities for this role include an eye for detail, a methodical approach to work, and confidence in managing different stakeholders. Working collaboratively on problem-solving and applying negotiation and influencing skills is another important aspect of this role.

Managing the project: To help prepare project documentation and project plans incorporating risk management. Monitor and report progress against key dates and milestones

Communication and building relationships: Develop and maintain effective

working relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders. 

Resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner.
