About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Careers Hub team as an Enterprise Coordinator, specialising in SEND, and working with special schools in East Sussex to support them to develop and improve their careers strategy and provision, using the Gatsby Benchmarks as a framework for excellence.
Working in partnership with the Career and Enterprise Company, the East Sussex Careers Hub is part of a nationwide initiative to motivate, inspire and support young people in making informed choices about their future and help them achieve.
We are seeking an individual with strong negotiation and influencing skills who can demonstrate that they can work strategically with special schools, SENCOs and Careers Leaders in mainstream schools employers and other education partners and stakeholders.
A key part of the role will be recruiting, training and supporting Enterprise Advisers, volunteers from business, who will be matched with schools and work with them to develop their strategy, act as a critical friend and bridge the gap between the worlds of education and employment.
Initially the position is to August 2022 while we wait for an ongoing Funding Agreement from the Careers and Enterprise Company (due by March/April). However, the stated ambition of the Department for Education and Careers and Enterprise Company is to extend and have full Careers Hub coverage across the country by 2024, and therefore we fully anticipate an extension to the current contract and to the Enterprise Coordinator contracts in line with this.
Interviews will take place on 15th and 16th December via Microsoft Teams.
