This is an exciting opportunity,

Two part time 18 hour posts available, covering 36 hour week over seven days with the following daily 5 hour working pattern:

Weekdays –

Open all gates at 6:00 a.m. and close all gates at 7:00 pm - with clean up and inspections.

Saturdays –

Open all gates at 6:00 a.m. and close all gates at 7:00 p.m. - with clean up and inspections.

Sundays and Bank Holidays -

Open all gates at 7:00 a.m. and close all gates at 4:00 p.m. - with clean up and inspections.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Caretaker to join our Environmental works Team to provide an effective caretaking and cleaning service for the community whilst gaining valuable work experience.

Working as part of a team of Caretakers you will be responsible for ensuring the service is delivered to the required standards under the management of the caretaker supervisor.

We are seeking a person who shares our enthusiasm for the protection and enhancement of the borough’s environment and be motivated to contribute to team targets and performance. As a part of our fantastic team of Caretakers, you will be operating within a responsive and fast-paced environment, providing an outstanding service to our residents and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality caretaking service throughout the borough.

You will conduct maintenance inspection as well as carrying out compliance checks of emergency light and smoke alarm testing within communal areas, filling out defect reports and daily inspection sheets.

Do you have a good knowledge of caretaking duties with good communication skills?

Do you have the ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment dealing with conflicting priorities? Be Resilience and the ability to multi-task in a changing environment and meet agreed deadlines with the Caretaker Supervisor.

Ability to understand, maintain and manage confidential information appropriately in line with WLBC behavioural core standards.

Do you have a proactive approach and the ability to think and act on own initiative with minimal supervision when required?

Do you have a clean valid driving license and use of your own vehicle?
