Dacorum Borough Council has a requirement for an ICT Service Desk Lead Officer to work within their Hemel Hempstead offices and sites around the borough of Dacorum, working as part of a busy ICT Team supporting around 700 users.
As ICT Service Desk Lead Officer, you will be responsible for managing the Service Desk team and overseeing all operating functions.
This role requires both, strong managerial and previous hands-on technical experience particularly within a Microsoft environment. Your expected technical knowledge and hands-on experience should be sufficient to be able to understand resource requirements and provide guidance to other engineers or directly resolve support requests.
You must be able to demonstrate good customer care in a related previous role, and the ability to prioritise your workload in what can be a busy and challenging environment.
You will be required to successfully manage projects and work with contractors to ensure work is being completed to a satisfactory standard.
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to achieve defined performance targets.
