Do you enjoy working with young people as they move into adulthood?

We currently have a permanent position for a Supported Lodgings Officer to join our Supported Lodgings Team. The team is part of the Fostering Service and recruits, assesses and supports people who offer family based Supported Lodgings for young people who are leaving the care system.

The work is varied and no two days are the same so you will need to be adaptable and enjoy a challenge! The Supported Lodgings Team is a small but busy team which is committed to the provision of a quality service. Your role will involve working with Supported Lodgings Carers and with young people. We also work closely with social workers and the Care Leavers Service.

A good standard of literacy will be required, as part of the role will involve writing reports. Surrey’s Children’s Service provides comprehensive support together with excellent in-house training to ensure professional development and competence.

At Surrey, our values and behaviours are just as important as our skills and abilities. They shape who we are as an organisation. Find out more about the values we follow.
