part-time FACILITIES MANAGEMENT OFFICER

 

Salary Scale 4-5 (from £20,092 per annum pro rata to hours worked)

 

Applications are invited for the post of Facilities Management Officer in the People and Place Directorate, based in the Town Hall. The successful applicant will be a member of the Property Services Group undertaking duties to enable the efficient provision of facilities management services.

 

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for assisting with the procurement administration and management of a wide range of maintenance and compliance contracts required for the effective management of the Park Leisure Centre. The Council will be providing these services under a service level agreement with the operator of the Centre.

 

You must have a good general standard of education – 5 GCSEs or equivalent. It would be advantageous if you have experience of working in a similar role, particularly within a local authority.

 

You should be a team player but be able to organise your own workload and be committed to providing a high standard of customer service. You must have good written and oral communication skills and be competent in IT.

 

The post is part time; working 15 hours per week (days to be agreed with successful candidate) and is offered as a permanent contract.

 

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information, advice and instruction in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.

 

The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
