Hours of work: 18.25 per week (plus 5 hours MDSA)
Working pattern: Part-time and Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

Fletching Church of England Primary School is one of East Sussex’s best kept secrets! We are situated in a beautiful location close to Sheffield Park with delightful children and supportive staff. In January 2021, we formed the Bluebell Federation with Chailey St Peter's Primary School and this is an exciting time to join our team.
A new opportunity has arisen for someone to join our fabulous Fletching family in the following key areas:
- to support the class teacher for five mornings and one afternoon a week as a teaching assistant ;
- to supervise and take care of the children during the lunch time period in all areas, inside and outside of the school.
This is a busy and varied role, but we will help you to get the support you need to succeed.
The successful candidate will need:
* to have experience of supporting children in a classroom environment;
* to have knowledge and understanding of child development;
* to be effective at establishing good relationships with pupils, staff and parents;
* to have good maths and English skills;
* to have high expectations of themselves and pupils;
* to embrace the Christian ethos of the school;
* to promote a positive image of the school through their work and attitude.
