- Able to adapt learning tasks to suit the child they're working with.
- Able to run small group activities from time to time.
- Willing to do some real-life learning activities.
- Happy to follow the lead of the teacher but able to recognise the unique needs of the child.
- Able to read advice from outside agencies and put it into practice in the classroom and in individual sessions.
- Able to engage warmly and confidently with parents.
- Prepared to support with personal care as required
Experience of working with children with additional needs is preferred, but showing a willingness to develop your knowledge and being happy to support the class teacher with the development of a suitable programme of work for the child will be viewed very positively.
The role is for 26 hours INA + 5hrs MDSA term time.
Applicants will also need to participate in whole school activities and to support the daily work and ethos of a Church of England Primary School.
