West Berkshire Council successfully bid for funding under the Rough Sleeper Initiative to end homelessness in West Berkshire. We are therefore looking to recruit a Rough Sleeper Navigator with the skills to work closely with rough sleepers and support them in moving away from homelessness. This is a fixed term role for 12 months for a funding limited project.
The post holder will form part of the Housing Team and will work in partnership with all front line based teams in order to reduce rough sleeping. The Navigator service will act as a single point of contact for identified rough sleepers with complex needs who have multiple agencies involved, coordinating support and following them through their journey out of homelessness.
Experience of working with those who are homeless and/or rough sleeping or of using services directly will be viewed as an asset in this role.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
