We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised, flexible, resilient, versatile Administrative Officer within the Care Management Teams within adult social care who will be required to provide a full range of administrative duties and support functions.  

 

The Isle of Wight Council is fully equipped with technology to provide face to face and online tools for a hybrid working environment, however you will be required to work from County Hall with occasional agile working from other locations. For this reason, the post holder is required to be fully versed in Microsoft 365 and have the confidence to learn internal applications.

 

Excellent communications skills including emotional intelligence, being sensitive and assertive are essential as the post holder will have direct contact with internal and external professionals and members of the public alike, and you will need to use different communication styles to adapt to your audience.

 

Proven minute taking skills are a must in this role and the post holder with need to be confident in dealing with sensitive, emotive content whilst upkeeping confidentiality rules whether the meeting takes place face to face, remotely or as a hybrid approach.

 

You must be comfortable with finances, making purchases and reconciling.    

 

You must be motivated to work alone using your own initiative, with the ability to prioritise your work and manage your time effectively whilst also being able to work as a team. 

 

You must be able to remain calm, efficient and professional when under pressure with changeable priorities, deadlines and expectations. You must be willing to learn and share your skills and experiences to help develop and review processes and keep them up to date with changing times and technology improvements.  You must be prepared to know and work to Team IWC Values.

 

In return you will be part of the centralised admin team receiving peer support and dedicated support and supervision from the admin hub manager, the opportunities to learn, develop and progress with a range of regular training opportunities available.
