Day Support rates from £9.44 - £11.44 per hour
Respite rates from £64 - £101 per night
Long Term rates from £450 - £708 per week
Connecting Lives has work opportunities in North Somerset for self employed professional Carers, Support Workers and Mentors. The aim of Connecting Lives is to support adults from18yrs with a wide range of needs including Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health needs, Dementia or other vulnerabilities.
Connecting Lives has two services:
- The Shared Lives service provides support for adults in the carer’s home in a range of placements: Day Support is for a few hours a day but not overnight. Respite support is from one night to a few weeks. Long term support is the person living long term with a carer
- The Outreach service provides support for adults in their own home and community in a range of placements: Day Support is for a few hours a day but not overnight. Mentor Support is providing guidance, motivation and role-modeling. The Sitting Service is for a few hours to enable the person’s family carer to have a break
We require people who are committed to providing supportive relationships to help adults to live more independently. Previous experience is not always necessary as each Connecting Lives worker brings their own unique skills and experience to the job. We ask that you have a desire to help people, life experience and a positive approach to supporting vulnerable adults. We welcome applications from all family types and all walks of life. Training is provided.
