The Learning for Life Partnership are looking to appoint a Power Maths School Improvement lead to work across our five Academies on a fixed term project for 5 terms, potentially on a secondment basis.

Reporting to the Director of Primary this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher of Power Maths to work with teachers and leaders across, and potentially beyond our Trust and to have an impact on the academic achievement in mathematics for of all of the children in our Trust. All of our academies use the Power Maths scheme and are at different stages of implementation. We have seen the impact that Power Maths can have on standards and want to ensure that all children achieve their full potential through this programme.

This role is to deliver an improvement project for a fixed period of 5 terms, by which time each academy should be functioning effectively in the delivery of Power Maths. This role will suit someone who is self-motivated and able to organise their time effectively. The role is flexible and working patterns are negotiable to make sure that the objectives of this role can be met. To reflect the senior nature of this position it will be paid up to UPS 3 with a TLR 2.

You will be joining a supportive trust and will have the opportunity to work in a leadership position that affects the learning of over 1800 children with the potential of working with other schools and academies during this project.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff, volunteers and external agencies to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be asked to apply for an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and will be checked against the DBS barred list. Appointments are subject to the receipt of satisfactory references as according to our Safer Recruitment Policy.

We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates and candidates with disabilities because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at the Learning for Life Partnership. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater outcomes for children.

Interviews to be held Friday 10th December
