Job Title: Education Worker Youth Justice
Location: Hemel Hempstead - Specialist Adolescent Service Hertfordshire (SASH) – St Albans and Dacorum Team
Salary Range: £32,324 - £34,728 per annum
Hours: 37 per week

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Specialist Adolescent Service in Dacorum and St Albans as the Youth Justice Education Training and Employment (ETE) practitioner.
The Specialist Adolescent Service Hertfordshire is a uniquely integrated multi-agency service delivering a range of interventions to young people and their families. These include Youth Justice, statutory social work to Children Looked After and family support/early intervention for family breakdown.
We are looking for a committed and dedicated team player to join our service. You will have a relevant degree or professional qualification in a related field (teaching, youth work, ETE guidance or Social Work) and experience of working with children and young people with Children services, Youth Justice or Education settings including those with complex needs, risks and vulnerabilities.
Working as part of a multi-agency team you will support and motivate young people in the Youth Justice system who are at risk of exclusion or non-attendance at school liaising closely with education, training, or employment providers to promote inclusion and improve outcomes. You will develop and maintain effective partnerships, contribute to risk management and information sharing, and represent service at a range of education and risk panels.
As a requirement of this role the post holder will need to have a full UK Driving Licence. You will be required to travel to visit young people in their homes and at other venues, and to attend meetings at sites other than own work base.
