To support the revenues team by offering support and administration to them as well as liaising with other departments to deal with any queries.
The revenues team deals with the billing and collection of council tax and business rates. Both create an important revenue for the local authority and help to maintain the services we offer to our residence.
The role will be to provide administration services to the team, including sending all correspondence in a timely fashion, updating statistics, preparing invoices for payment and dealing with customers both on the phone and by email.
The role may also include dealing with bailiffs and courts, issuing summons and visiting properties to help the visiting officer in their duties.
- Ability to carry out basic Office skills, including Word and Excel
- Ability to follow set procedures and routines
- Good telephone manner
- Awareness of good customer service.
5 GCSE’s or equivalent A-C grade including Maths & English
