Operational Support Officer: Children Services

Part-time role (24 Hours a week, Tuesday to Friday)

Pro-rata salary £16,758 - £18,322 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a Operational Support Officer within Children Services. The role will be based in the Business Support team.

The role will undertake statutory daily administrative tasks that require a good level of ICT knowledge in Word, Excel and experience of inputting into a database system. Prior knowledge of working with the Children Services Database would be an advantage, but it is not necessary.

Accuracy, organisational skills and the ability to work positively within in a team are crucial skills required for this job.

This role will provide support to the MASH, Assessment and Intervention Service, Child Protection & Children in Need Service and the Childrens Specialist Support services on a rota basis.

Within this role you will be responsible for delivering to a high standard on tasks to ensure effective operation of the services. Including but not limited to data entry and analysis, record keeping, customer care focused reception duties, answering incoming telephones calls, minute taking and understanding service specific administrative tasks.

The desired candidates will have a good knowledge of administrative skills, a high level of computer literacy skills and be experienced in the use of MS Office packages. Candidates should have a strong commitment to proactively develop skills to allow for the standardised processes to be carried out in a consistent and efficient manner. You will need to be able to work to deadlines with good attention to detail to ensure delivery of support in the areas we work within.

Information processed and heard within Children Services can be highly sensitive and at times includes distressing content. For this reason, it important to consider this before applying.
