This rewarding role will involve supporting guests both emotionally and physically in their daily lives and at times when they may be distressed or display behaviours that challenge. No two days are the same.
A little about where you will be working ….
Greenwood is run by East Sussex County Council and is a countywide Respite Services for adults with a Learning Disability in Bexhill. This registered service has been rated ‘GOOD’ by CQC. The building has been refurbished to a high standard and offers a hotel style service. Most of our bedrooms have en-suites and we provide excellent facilities for our guests. We have interactive Sensory Equipment and the latest in Assistive Technology to enhance the experience of the Guests staying with us. The Service provides a fun holiday experience for long and short Respite stays where we promote life skills, independence, community activities and opportunities to meet with friends.
The ‘bones’ of the job of which you will be fully trained in …
- Providing all types of support to our Guests, including personal care
- Administering medication.
- Supporting our guest with eating and drinking
- Complete all relevant paperwork throughout each Guests stays to a high standard
- Speaking to Parents/ Carers
- Liaising with other departments within ESCC and external medical professionals.

This role will be required to go into CQC registered care homes to undertake work. Applicants will need to evidence they have had a full course of a recognised COVID-19 vaccine or that they have a medical exemption as part of the pre-employment checks.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
