Sefton Council’s Green Sefton Service is recruiting for an Information and Technical Officer to join our busy team.

Green Sefton is an exciting service which manages our special coast, parks and greenspaces: from our beautiful and internationally recognised coastline which supports some of the rarest flora and fauna in the country, to coastal habitats which are rarer than rainforest, through to our historic parks and gardens, 160 other greenspaces, and our sport and recreation facilities. In total, we manage around 5,500ha of land and this includes managing both inland and coastal flood risk too.  We are a varied service indeed!

This post offers an excellent opportunity for the right innovative person to help drive the service forward.

With the help of a small team, the successful applicant will offer direct and indirect business and administration support to the service.

An excellent communicator, you will provide high quality customer care, dealing with enquiries from the public, Elected Members and other partners and supporting information compliance for Corproate Complaints, Freedom of Information Act.

You will be experienced in working with a range of software and systems including Office, Sharepoint, Mapinfo GIS. This post provides a fantastic opportunity to use you knowledge and skills to help develop Green Sefton’s data management systems.

Knoweldge and experience of budget monitoring, purchasing and the invoicing of customers will be essential.

You will be required to work from a variety of bases across the Borough, and from home, working agilely within the Council’s policy.
