An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Regeneration Team to manage a range of projects and services to assist delivery of the Isle of Wight Council’s Regeneration and Housing strategies. The Isle of Wight Council is seeking a qualified regeneration and housing professional to join the team who work in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders and the public. The successful candidate will focus on direct delivery housing projects within the Council.
This is a busy, varied, and interesting role within a small hard-working team of amiable professionals who are passionate about regenerating the Isle of Wight across the economic and environmental opportunities that the Island presents, with a special focus on developing “affordable housing” to sustain communities and a local workforce on the Isle of Wight.
This is a challenging and varied role within a small high achieving team focused on delivery of individual projects that bring about strategic change. The role will be responsible for providing technical guidance and delivery of a range of site-specific projects to ensure works undertaken by developers and their agents comply with relevant standards including design standards.
The role will also involve commissioning and providing development plans and site viability appraisals. A housing development background is an advantage, though consideration will be given to applicants with a broader range of regeneration development skills and the role is open to applicants for secondment within the Isle of Wight Council.
