A new part-time post has been created for a project co-ordinator to join our innovative Child Health Team at Medway Council Public Health. We are looking for someone with excellent planning, organising, communication, negotiating and influencing skills.  The successful candidate will co-ordinate the implementation, administration, and evaluation of Medway’s multi-agency approach to reducing the impact of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) under the supervision of the Child Health Project Officer.

You will be joining a highly motivated team of four and working dynamically across the children and young people’s workforce to achieve Medway’s vision of becoming fully trauma informed and ACEs aware by 2023.   Key components of this role will involve developing partnerships and alliances with relevant stakeholders from education, healthcare, the police, and the voluntary sector to review, change and enhance practices that will improve the health and wellbeing outcomes for our children and young people in medway.  The role will also involve co-ordinating and delivering training, presenting to stakeholders, establishing and facilitating the community of practice network, which will be used as a forum to share best practice that will inform Medway’s Trauma Informed Covenant Agreement.

The Child Health team are a forward thinking and experienced team that co-ordinate a wide portfolio of products and services that includes training, parent workshops, peer ambassador programmes, PHSE resources, public health profiles and policy development. Making Kent and Medway trauma informed is a multi-agency project that will compliment our existing scheme of work in Medway.  This exciting opportunity will give the successful applicant the opportunity to contribute extensively to improved outcomes for our children, young people and their families.

This is a fixed term post for one year. Working hours are flexible and the post holder will be required to work some occasional evenings and weekends.  A full clean driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
