About the role
SITE MANAGER – Part-time 27.5 hours per week, start time 7:00 am finish time 12:30 pm with 4 hours per month to supervise the site cleaners.
Situated between Horam and Heathfield, Maynards Green is a successful and friendly, community primary school which encourages a love for learning and has high expectations of every individual. Our school offers a supportive and caring environment and well behaved and highly motivated learners.

We are looking for a practical, resourceful, and self-motivated individual who is hardworking and well organised. Above all, we are looking for someone who is going to take pride in ensuring that our site is always at its best, takes ownership of our school environment and has a proactive nature. We want someone who notices when things are not as they should be!
As well as demonstrating a good range of practical skills and the ability to problem solve, the candidate will have a sense of fun, excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to all members of our school community.

• Is skilled in non-specialist DIY and maintenance
• Is committed to maintaining and providing a safe, attractive school environment - inside and out - to the highest standard
• Is efficient at keeping clear and accurate records
• Will work within health and safety guidelines to ensure the school building looks its best at all times.
• Has good communication skills and the ability to relate positively to adults and children
• Has a proven ability to work on their own initiative and has a ‘can do’ attitude
• Can demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding
• Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality on all school matters
