This post will provide support to the Swale area, working directly to the Senior Practitioner and Team Manager for the Swale Social Work Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex work and ensuring quality of care needs assessments and care & support to the public.

This is an exciting post for someone to develop their skills and experience of working with a complex caseload, using a strength based approach to resolve issues and empower individuals to move beyond challenging circumstances in their lives. It needs the use of multiple approaches to resolve or deal with complex scenarios and presentations, thus providing experience in complex work and problem resolutions.

We are looking for motivated professionals who are interested in working in an integrated team and ready to embrace new ways of working, to help further shape our services. 

This post is within a team that works collaboratively with health and other partnership agencies and focuses on promoting a persons independence.

The ability to travel in a timely and flexible manner is essential. You should note that public
transport is rarely a viable option as some rural areas have limited public transport.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.

The base for this post is advertised for Sittingbourne however please note that we are supportive of flexible working patterns.
