About the role

Little Common School is an outstanding primary school on the outskirts of Bexhill.  We have a large well resourced extended services provision offering breakfast club and afterschool club for children attending the school.

We are looking to appoint a motivated individual who is committed to providing a safe but exciting provision for children.

You will:

Be an enthusiastic and well-organised practitioner

Possess good planning skills to aid in organising arts and crafts as well as games and outside activities

Work well as part of a team

Be able to follow school policies and procedures

Hold an NVQ3 qualification in playwork or equivalent, or be willing to undertake this  with support from the school.

Hold a first aid certificate and Paediatric first aid certificate or be willing to train.

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children

The hours of work are 7.30am - 8.45am and 3pm - 6pm Monday to Friday term time only.  The salary is pro rata to the hours and weeks worked.

For the right candidate we would consider employing an apprentice (on the appropriate pay rate) and supporting them through an NVQ in Childcare or Playwork.
