About the role

Micklefield Nursery is looking for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner with experience of being a key person and a Level 3 INA (Individual Needs Assistant)

The nursery practitioner vacancy is for 20hrs a week working 8.45-12.45pm M-F term time only. This will be in our youngest classroom with the 2-3yr olds.

At Micklefield we have a number of children requiring additional support. The INA position is to support our SEND children and depending on your skill set, and your availability; you will become an additional pair of hands in one of our classrooms.    

In either role you will need a sound working knowledge of child development and support will be given to implement the changes in Development Matters.  

Our nursery practitioners have around 6-10 key children and use Tapestry to record children's progress. Overtime is paid to complete weekly updates to parents.

This class has access to outside play and a double classroom with lots of space and a good access variety of activities and resources.

Toilet training and a good understanding of speech development for early years would be desirable.

Team work is essential and any additional skills such as being creative; enjoying music and dance will be most welcome.  This role will be starting January 2022 but could be sooner pending DBS status and reference checks.

This short term contract will end on Friday 15 July 2022 but of course should any further positions be available you would be considered.
