Sefton Council is seeking to recruit a Business Intelligence Officer to its Performance and Business Intelligence Team to assist with producing analysis of child level data for Children’s Social Care, providing timely and accurate data to inform strategic decision making, and indirectly help contribute to positive outcomes for the children and young people open to Children's Social Care and Safeguarding.
We are looking for an experienced data analyst who can build data visualisations, perform in depth data analysis and answer questions on data for key stakeholders. You will be required to regularly gather and analyse data from the Council’s Liquid Logic system, assist with national Children's Social Care government returns, produce monthly performance reports and respond to ad-hoc requests for data to meet the needs of the service and its managers.
Previous experience of gathering and analysing data using Business Objects. Microsoft SQL Reporting Services and Microsoft Excel is essential. Knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Power B.I. is also essential.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build & nurture relationships across the business, then effectively advise and support senior officers, with the confidence to challenge where appropriate, based on evidence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented person who is readily able to take responsibility for creating management information that helps drive strong performance.
A degree or equivalent in an analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
