About the role
Permanent, Term time position plus 5 staff development days.
15 hours per week.
We are looking to appoint a Technician to join our Technology department.
The role of a technician is to work with teachers as part of a professional team to provide support to the staff and students, to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Some key responsibilities are:
- Set up resources and equipment ready for lessons;
- Order and maintain supplies of materials and equipment;
- Clean and undertake maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure safe treatment and disposal of used materials
The successful candidate will;
- Be willing to take internal and external training as directed;
- Have a thorough understanding of Health and Safety procedures;
- Have knowledge of appropriate use of relevant equipment and ability to communicate this knowledge to staff and students
- Be able to use basic technology such as computer, photocopier, DVD etc.
