Diversity: We are an inclusive employer and value a diverse workforce

Our teams work with children aged 0-7 with a range of complex and communication needs.

We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, qualified teacher with significant Early Years experience, looking for a new challenge. You will be an experienced leader in a school or Early Years setting with a passion for inclusive education.

You are invited to apply to join our team of Early Years SEND specialists, working successfully throughout Hertfordshire to support families and educational settings with the inclusion of children with SEND. You will have recent experience leading the learning of children in early years settings or the Early Years Foundation Stage in schools or currently work in an advisory service. You also need a thorough knowledge and experience of implementing the SEND Code of Practice. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, work well within a team and be able to work to deadlines.  Additional qualifications in SEND would be highly desirable.

You will be a middle or senior leader within a school or Early Years setting, confident to manage a team and able to demonstrate the ability to drive forward change and influence others.

A key function of ISL SEND Specialist Advice and Support (SEND SAS) is to ensure that the educational and developmental progress of children and young people (0-25), with a range of SEND, is met in line with the Hertfordshire Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Strategy and HCC strategic objectives.

We can offer you a friendly, supportive working environment, a full induction and ongoing professional development in this role.
